چکیده

Natriuretic peptides (NUPs) are the strongest predictors of poor prognosis in patients with heart failure (HF). Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs198389 NPPB gene and rs5068 NPPA associated altered levels NUP. The role candidate activity NUP system association NPPA/ SNPs risk cardiovascular disease (CVD) individuals HF atrial fibrillation (AF) is not well understood. study aims to evaluate allele genotype frequencies a selective sample Belarusian population, determine relationship these concentrations, assess prognostic significance on hospitalization permanent AF. involved 187 patients. main group included 152 left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50 %. Group 1 48 AF; 2 – 51 sinus rhythm (SR) 35 control group. brain natriuretic (ANP BNP) N-terminal fragment peptide (NT-proBNP) were determined. A genetic testing polymorphic loci was performed. primary endpoint due progression. average observation period 12.1 [from 9 14] months. distribution LVEF % comparable that without CVD. In persistent AF, minor C higher BNP compared SR (542 [333.7; 909.4] pg/ml versus 247.3 [244; 365.2] pg/ml; p 0.05), but it has no NT-proBNP level. ANP NPPA. frequency T hospitalized significantly lower who (22 (44 %) 83 (62 %); = 0.04). presence progression odds ratio (OR) 2.071 [95 CI from 1.072 4.001], 0.05.

Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in Patients with Nonfamilial Structural Atrial Fibrillation

BACKGROUND Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) has antihypertrophic and antifibrotic properties that are relevant to AF substrates. The -G664C and rs5065 ANP single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) have been described in association with clinical phenotypes, including hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. A recent study assessed the association of early AF and rs5065 SNPs in low-risk subjec...

Evaluation of Serum Levels of N-terminal Pro Brain Natriuretic Peptide and Atrial Natriuretic Peptide in Neonates with Respiratory Distress

Background: Acute respiratory distress (ARD) is a critical respiratory failure due to lung injury of neonates leading to the clinical appearance of poor lung compliance. The aimed of the study was to evaluate the diagnostic values in differentiating respiratory from heart diseases with using of N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-pro BNP) and Atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP) in neonates...

Intra-Arterial Atrial Natriuretic Peptide in Patients With Heart Failure

It has been shown that renal responses to atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) are markedly attenuated in patients with heart failure. This study aimed to determine if vasodilative response to ANP is altered in patients with heart failure. In patients with heart failure (n=7) and age-matched normal subjects (n=7), forearm blood flow was measured using a strain-gauge plethysmograph during intra-arte...

Prognostic Value of N-Terminal Pro-B-Type Natriuretic Peptide Levels in Heart Failure Patients With and Without Atrial Fibrillation.

BACKGROUND Patients with heart failure (HF) and atrial fibrillation (AF) have higher circulating levels of NT-proBNP (N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide) than HF patients without AF. There is uncertainty about the prognostic importance of a given concentration of NT-proBNP in HF patients with and without AF. We investigated this question in a large cohort of patients with HF and reduced ...
